Using the Site
How do I change my account details?
You can change any of your details by logging into your account, you then have the options at the top of your account page or to the right hand side of the website.
Problem with the address on the registration page?
Please ensure that Lines - Address 1, Town, Country and Post Code all have entries in, even if duplicated, thankyou.
How can I keep up to date with special offers and new stock?
You can keep up to date and be the first to see special offers by joining our mailing list, just enter your email into the newsletter box on the homepage, You can also select to join the mailing list when you register. You can also see details of new stock with the 'books added since' link in your accounts page. We also have the Beck Valley Blog for news updates, which is located on the home page.
How do you grade your books?
All our books are graded using the following conditions:
New, Mint, Very Good, Good, Fair Good, Fair, Poor Fair, Poor.

I cannot understand the wording in the security box, can you help?
Yes, you will notice that besides the input box you have three options to select. Click the first option to reload new words to input, the second option to hear a set of digits to input, with the third option being help. If all else fails, please contact us.
Booksearch Service
I cannot find a book on your site, can you help?
We now have almost 90% of our stock on the site, but have many books waiting to go on. If the book you want does not appear on the site please complete a booksearch request with as many details as possible. We will endeavour to find your book from our stock and also from other book related sites and will email you with the details, please see the information below regarding our Booksearch Service. How does the booksearch service work?
Once you have entered as many details as possible onto the booksearch request form just press send and leave the rest to us. Please remember to include your name and email address. We will always try to locate a copy of your book for you. We will email you with the details on where to purchase the book along with the purchase price and postage costs. You can either pay for the book direct with the bookseller/website or we can purchase it for you and let you know when the book has been delivered. If we cannot locate your book we will post your request onto our Books Wanted page, please see the information below regarding this page.
Is there a charge for the booksearch service?
No charges will be made for this service, it is completely free.
Why is my booksearch request listed in the Books Wanted section?
Although we try extremely hard to locate your book for you there may be an occasion when this proves difficult. In that situation we will post your booksearch request onto our Books Wanted page for other registered users to see incase they have a copy that they wish to sell (only the book details will be shown).
I have a copy of a book for sale, which is posted on your Books Wanted page, how do I get in touch?
That's great to hear. All you have to do is send us an email to beckvalleybooks@aol.com and we will pass your details to the interested party.
Ordering
How can I pay for my purchases?
You can pay securely online through Paypal or Google Checkout, we accept any Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Maestro, American Express, or Solo. You can also pay directly from your bank account with paypal. Alternatively, if you if you are a UK resident, you can pay by cheque or postal order, you will be given the postal address during the checkout process. (Please not Google Checkout is currently only available to UK and US customers).

How do I change my order?
You can change your order at any time during the checkout process. If you would like to change your order once checkout has completed, please email us at beckvalleybooks@aol.com Please bear in mind that we post most of our products to our customers at the end of each day, therefore any changes would have to be made before you receive confirmation of dispatch.
Can I cancel my order and if so how?
Yes you cancel your order at anytime before you receive confirmation of dispatch. If you have paid through google checkout you can cancel your order within 15 minutes, alternatively you can email us with your cancellation request at beckvalleybooks@aol.com
Why has my order been cancelled?
Orders will only be cancelled by us, in the unlikely event that the book is no longer available, or there has been an error with the book description/price showing on the website, or payment has been rejected for the order.

Where to do you deliver?
We deliver all our products within the United Kingdom and Worldwide.
What are your postage rates?
Our postage rates are based on the weight of your order, rather than per book, saving you money. The costs differ depending on the location. Please go to our delivery page for more information.
How do I receive the Free Delivery Offer?
If you live in the Billingham and Norton area you will be given free delivery automatically based on your postcode.
When will I receive my book?
We post all our products on a daily basis and we will send you an email confirmation of dispatch on the day.
Royal Mail UK Second Class aims to deliver within 3 days.
Royal Mail International Surface Mail aims to deliver within 2 - 12 weeks -
(Western Europe 2 weeks, Eastern Europe 4 weeks, Outside Europe upto 12 weeks).
If your order is urgent we will gladly send your products UK First Class, which aims to deliver between 1 - 2 days or International Air Mail, which aims to deliver between 3 -5 days.
Will my book arrive safely?
All our products are sent in new padded envelopes and delivered using Royal Mail, with a proof of posting receipt kept.
Can I leave feedback on my order/customer service?
Yes, you can share your buying experience from our site with other customers by completing the customer feedback form. When logging into your account, click the Send Feedback option on the right hand side of the website. You can also share your experience on an number of sites using the share bar on the home page.
Returns
Can I return my order?
If you are unhappy with your product in anyway you may ask for a full refund of the product and original delivery costs, or exchange them within 7 days of receipt. Please see our returns policy

Can you valute my book for me?
Unfortunately we are unable to provide this service. There are many services available online, you could try http://valuemystuff.com/what-we-value/books a great site that also featured on 'Dragons Den'.
Would you be interested in buying my books?
